The The Zoetis High Performance Riders Dinner presented by Jackalope Ranch took place February 1, and a lively time was had by all. The Morcus family, whose Kaiser Restaurant Group holdings include, in addition to Jackalope, the Hogs Breath Inn, the Kaiser Grill and the Chop House steak bistro, offered a lavish spread of food and drink, providing a warm welcome to the Desert Circuit.

Zoetis’ Kate Russo explained that the new name of the company formerly known as Pfizer Animal Health “derives from the root ‘zo,’ which means ‘pertaining to life’ and is found in words such as ‘zoo’,” and explained that in its new iteration the company will draw on its more than 60 years experience developing, manufacturing and marketing a diverse offering of animal health medicines and vaccines.

For the riders and trainers, it was a nice opportunity to relax and mingle with friends and sponsors away from the pressures of the show grounds. With such convivial hosts and great company, it’s easy to see why this event has over the past three years become a tradition of the winter circuit.
